OZARK TRAIL IN MISSOURI

Overview: This section includes approximately 25 miles of planned trail within the boundaries of the Meramec River Greenway. This unofficial section is designated for descriptive purposes as OZT extending from Robertsville State Park in Franklin county to Meramec State Park a short distance from U.S. highway 44 in 3 adjoining counties.

Directions

North trailhead on Robertsville S.P. via U.S. Hwy 44 south to exit 247, signs to Robertsville S.P. 6 miles away near the intersection of MO Hwys N and O. Southern tralhead at Meramec S.P. via U.S. Hwy 44. Take Exit 226, turn left (east) on hwy 185; Meramec S.P. entrance is 4 miles away.

(Robertsville) Hiking, RV camp, tent camping, fishing ponds (2), Meramec River boat ramp access. (Meramec) Hiking, tent camping, Meramec River boat ramp access. Ample parking for vehicles and tow trailers.

Features

Robertsville S.P. hrs 8:30 a.m. to dark. Closest state park to St. Louis on the OZT. Great vista of prairie grasslands. Active trail development. RV camp with electrical hookup, provisions. Meramec S.P. (see Section 3 of OZT) for description including cabin rental information. Both parks feature access to the Meramec River and the Meramec Greenway.
