Overview: The Victory section is contained within Mark twain National Forest lands. Currently 24 of 30 planned trail miles (DNR brochure), or 37 miles ("Mark Twain National Forest" U.S. Forest Service brochure), are open to public use for hiking on foot, mountain biking, and equestrian use. A 6 mile segment that joins 2 exiting sections across hwy 67 and the JJ and O intersecting hwys is shown as incomplete in the map with MO-DNR's "Victory Section" brochure. Note the 8 mile equestrian trail extension (near the eastern end) is a southern loop with a spur ending at the Victory Horse Trail trail head near Cane Creek. The eastern Victory section trail head is at hwy. 172 and the western end at Ellsinore, MO. The town is at the intersection of hwys V, N, DD and A. The section crosses Brushy Creek on its way to merge with the Black River to the east.
